It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection. 15 Do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven will not cause the earth to cave in with you, and then suddenly it will begin to rock violently? 16 Or are ye secure that He Who is in the heaven will not send against you a whirlwind? Anon ye shall know what wise hath been My warning. 17 And certainly those before them rejected (the truth), then how was My disapproval. 18 Do they not see the birds above them with wings outspread and [sometimes] folded in? None holds them [aloft] except the Most Merciful. Indeed He is, of all things, Seeing. 19 [And] is there any, besides the Most Gracious, that could be a shield for you, and could succour you [against danger]? They who deny this truth are but lost in self-delusion! 20 Who is there to give you food in case He withholds His bounty? Yet they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? 22 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “It is He Who created you, and made ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little thanks do you offer!” 23 Say: “Allah it is Who multiplied you in the earth and to Him you will be mustered.” 24 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak truly?' 25 Say thou, [O Prophet:] "Knowledge thereof rests with God alone; and I am only a plain warner." 26 When they see the torment approaching, the faces of the disbelievers will blacken and they will be told, "This is what you wanted to (experience)". 27 Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered: whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?" 28 Say to them: “He is Merciful, and it is in Him that we believe, and it is in Him that we put all our trust. Soon will you know who is in manifest error.” 29 Say, "Have you considered if your water were to sink into the ground, who could then bring you flowing water?" 30
