Lo! for those who keep from evil are gardens of bliss with their Lord. 34 Shall We equate the Muslims to the guilty? 35 What ails you then, how you judge? 36 Or have you a Book wherein you study? 37 Surely therein you shall have whatever you choose! 38 Or have you taken a binding promise from Us which would hold till the Day of Judgement, that you will get whatever you demand? 39 Ask them, which of them will guarantee that! 40 Or have they, perchance, any sages to support their views? Well, then, if they are sincere in this their claim, let them produce those supporters of theirs 41 On the day when the terrible torment approaches, they will be told (in a mocking way) to prostrate themselves, but they will not be able to do it. 42 Their eyes will be lowered and disgrace will cover them. They had certainly been told to prostrate themselves before God when they were safe and sound. 43 Then leave Me Alone with such as belie this Quran. We shall punish them gradually from directions they perceive not. 44 and I shall respite them -- assuredly My guile is sure. 45 Or askest thou them for a wage, and so they are weighed down with debt? 46 Or that the Unseen is in their hands, so that they can write it down? 47 So wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, and be not like the companion of the fish, when he cried while he was in distress. 48 and who cried (for help) to his Lord, while imprisoned and helpless inside the fish. Had it not been for a favor from his Lord, he would have been left out in the open, deserving blame for his shortcomings. 49 but [as it was,] his Sustainer had elected him and placed him among the righteous. 50 And verily, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes through hatredness when they hear the Reminder (the Quran), and they say: "Verily, he (Muhammad SAW) is a madman!" 51 [Be patient:] for this is nought else but a reminder [from God] to all mankind. 52
