Nooh 2 of 2

Nuh said: My Lord! surely they have disobeyed me and followed him whose wealth and children have added to him nothing but loss. 21 And they conspired an immense conspiracy. 22 inasmuch as they said [to their followers,] 'Do not ever abandon your gods: abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', and neither Yaghuth nor Ya'uq nor Nasr!' 23 And they have led many astray. (Noah supplicated saying): 'Allah, do not increase the harmdoers except in error' 24 Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them. 25 And Nuh said: my Lord! leave not upon the earth of the infidels one inhabitant. 26 If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates. 27 My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin. 28

True are the words of God the Almighty.
