By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 a warning to humans, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay, but they do not [believe in and hence, do not] fear the life to come. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
