The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 This is the Book (the Quran), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)]. 2 Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them. 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these they are the blissful ones. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7
