Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 except those of the right hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the criminals, 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
