Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the loosed ones successively 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
