Nay, and by the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except the people of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
