Nay, by the Moon 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 it is a warning to man, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
