▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 in Gardens they will question 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
