NAY, but consider the moon! 32 By the receding night 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
