I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
