By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
