Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 When the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 We Ourself shall see to its collection and recital. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 But when [man's soul] reaches the throat, 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
