Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are conjoined, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and neglect the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
