Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
