Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
