Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known extent. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 as black camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
