Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
