Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
