Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
