Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
