Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
