Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
