Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
