Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
