Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
