Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
