The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ About what are they asking one another? 1 About the awesome tiding [of resurrection,] 2 concerning which they are in disagreement! 3 No! They are going to know. 4 Then, no! They are going to know. 5 Have We not made the earth a resting place? 6 And the mountains as stakes? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And have appointed your sleep for repose, 9 and made the night a covering, 10 And have made the day for livelihood. 11 And constructed above you seven strong [heavens] 12 (the sun) as a shining torch 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water, 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, 15 And gardens of luxurious growth? 16 Surely, the Day of Judgement has an appointed time. 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 and the heaven shall be opened, and become gates, 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Surely, Hell lies in wait, 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 Living therein for ages. 23 tasting therein neither coolness nor any drink 24 save boiling water and pus 25 The reward to each is according to what he is. 26 For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds), 27 And they denied Our signs to the extreme. 28 And We have kept recorded everything in a Book, accounted for. 29 So taste (the fruit of your deeds). We shall only increase your torment. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
