The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 (Is it) of the great announcement 2 Concerning which they differ. 3 No! They are going to know. 4 again, no indeed; soon will they come to know. 5 Have We not made the earth as a bed, 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And (have We not) created you in pairs, 8 and We appointed your sleep for a rest; 9 And made the night a cover. 10 and We appointed day for a livelihood. 11 And built seven strong roofs above you. 12 And We made a shining lamp, 13 And from the wind-driven clouds We send down waters pouring in abundance, 14 to make the seeds, plants, 15 And gardens thick with trees. 16 Indeed, the Day of Decision is an appointed time, 17 the Day that the Horn is blown, and you shall come in crowds 18 And the heaven is opened and will become gateways 19 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage. 20 Truly Hell is as a place of ambush, 21 The destination of the rebellious. 22 They will dwell therein for ages. 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 save boiling water and a stinking fluid -- 25 , A fitting reward. 26 For indeed they did not look forward to any reckoning, 27 And they belied Our revelations with strong belying. 28 And everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 So taste (the fruit of your deeds). We shall only increase your torment. 30
