The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)

CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 By the angels who glide swimmingly, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 then he mustered 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
