The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and gently take it away; 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 That "Go to Firaun - he has rebelled." 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
