And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And all that which they used to earn availed them not. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 About what they used to do. 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
