Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built? 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 Gave darkness to its night, and brightness to its day; 29 And the earth, He expanded it after that. 30 He extracted from it its water and its pasture, 31 And stabilized the mountains 32 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 33 Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),- 34 upon the day when man shall remember what he has striven, 35 And the Scorch will be made apparent to any one who beholdeth. 36 Then he who had been rebellious 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Lo! hell will be his home. 39 And for one who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from desire, 40 indeed, their refuge shall be Paradise. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 Wherein art thou concerned with the declaration thereof! 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, it will be as if they had lingered but an evening, or, a morning. 46
