Are ye harder to create or the heaven which He hath builded? 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 And He made its night dark, and started its light. 29 and thereafter spread out the earth, 30 He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage. 31 And the mountains He set firm 32 [all this] as a means of sustenance for you and your animals? 33 Then when the Grand Calamity shall come 34 on that Day man will [clearly] remember all that he has ever wrought; 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 preferring the present life, 38 Then surely the hell, that is the abode. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time? 42 About what! You are one to remind of it. 43 Unto thy Lord is the final end of it. 44 Thou art only the warner of him who fears it. 45 It shall be as if; on the day they see it, they have but tarried for an evening, or its forenoon. 46
