He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and then turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 and fearfully, 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble and purified. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what substance did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 and made the path of guidance easy for him to follow. 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 olives, dates, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 The day on which a man shall fly from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father 35 his consort, his sons, 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Blackness overcoming them. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
