Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
