He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 To him you give attention. 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 and who has fear of God, 9 You neglect. 10 Not this way this is the advice. 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 Exalted and holy, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 From what thing doth He create him? 18 From a single sperm He created, then proportioned him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Not one he has not yet completed what he was commanded. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 Olives and dates, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 And fruits and Abba (herbage, etc.), 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 On that day, each one has just one issue, which is enough for him. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 laughing and joyful, 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 those -- they are the unbelievers, the libertines. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
