In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O thou folded in garments! 1 rise (to pray) the night except a little; 2 of one-half thereof - or make it a little less than that, 3 Or add (a little) thereto - and chant the Qur'an in measure, 4 Surely We will make to light upon you a weighty Word. 5 Verily the rising by night! it is most curbing and most conducive to right speech. 6 Indeed during the day you have a long schedule of occupations. 7 And remember the Name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with a complete devotion. 8 He is the Lord of the East and the West; there is no god except Him. Take Him for your Guardian. 9 And be patient (O Muhammad SAW) with what they say, and keep away from them in a good way. 10 Leave it to Me to deal with the affluent ones who give the lie (to the Truth), and bear with them for a while. 11 Indeed We have heavy fetters and a blazing fire. 12 food which chokes (them), and a painful torment. 13 on the Day the earth and mountains shall shake and the mountains crumble into shifting sand dunes. 14 We have sent you a Messenger, who will witness your deeds, just as We sent a Messenger to the Pharaoh. 15 But Firon disobeyed the apostle, so We laid on him a violent hold. 16 If you persist in disbelieving, how will you guard yourself against the (woe of the) Day that will turn children grey-haired, 17 The heaven will break apart therefrom; ever is His promise fulfilled. 18 Verily this is an admonition; let him therefore, who will, choose a way unto his Lord. 19
