And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then they advanced toward him, hastening. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 And We gave him the glad tidings of a very gentle son (Ishmael). 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
