He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 or have been reminded [of the truth,] and helped by this reminder. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 To him you give attention. 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 And to him who came to you eagerly 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 You neglect. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 exalted, purified, 14 [Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels, 15 Who are noble, virtuous. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 And olives and palms 29 And dense gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 mother, father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
