He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because there came unto him a blind man. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for he who thinks himself without need, 5 to a rich man, 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and fears (Allah), 9 to him thou payest no heed. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a drop of seed. He created him and formed him according to a measure. 19 Then He makes the Path easy for him; 20 He will then send him to death and have him laid in the grave. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let man therefore consider (the sources of) his food. 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his sons; 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 laughing, joyous; 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
