The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 that hide, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then will you go? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
