The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
