The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
