The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Whither then go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
Almighty God's Truth.
