The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
