The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
