Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
