Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
